Documentary #1 – Iraq & Afghanistan

Doc1-IraqAfghanistan

The first documentary in the Remember Their Service series will focus on the experiences of our veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Nearly two million U.S. troops have served in these two wars and thousands have served multiple tours of duty. Tours which could and do last up to 15 months at a time.

Approximately 45% of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans are from the National Guard and Reserves. This means that these veterans, these men and women, are our neighbors, co-workers, and friends. We see these heros in the mall, at the playground, and we work with them on a daily basis.

Remember Their Service will help all of us to understand what our Iraq & Afghanistan War veterans experienced while they served overseas. What their daily lives were like, how they coped with being away from home, what things brought hope and happiness into their lives, and how they dealt with the war.

As always the veterans will be telling us their stories, the way they want to tell them, in their own voice. Remember Their Service has only one goal, to record and preserve our veterans’ stories for them and posterity.

Pending funding, interviews will start in the first quarter of 2010. If you or your company would like to support this effort to preserve the first-hand accounts of military service in Iraq & Afghanistan contact:
